We recently sat down with Paul Boca the CEO of Corporate Job Bank, a prominent staffing agency in Phoenix. With over 30 years of experience, they have proven to be industry leaders in the staffing arena. Curious how he did it? Keep reading to find out!

What’s your story?

After a decade in the clothing business, I began searching for another challenge. In 1985, a few friends in the mortgage and banking industry needed some assistance finding employees for their growing businesses. Using “old-fashioned” recruiting, word of mouth and networking, I was able to meet this incredible task, which developed into starting my own staffing company.

Over 30 years and several hundred thousand placements later, Corporate Job Bank Personnel Services has been voted the #1 employment agency in Arizona for 2 decades in a row. This honor wasn’t received because the company is the largest or has the best prices, but because of its hardworking and dedicated staff, professional ethics and integrity. The core of the company’s business foundation is built solely on the relationships it develops and nurtures with its customers and candidates, all contributing to Corporate Job Bank’s doors remaining open while continuing to grow in a fast-paced job market that has experienced many ups and downs.

What exactly does your company do and who benefits from the service?

Our clients benefit from our full scope of employment services when they require the recruitment of skilled temporary, temporary-to-hire or direct hire workers. What makes you unique?

What are you most excited about for the future of your company?

As we enter our 2nd year out in our Avondale Branch, we are extremely excited with the growth opportunities that are in front of us in the West Valley. We are also very fortunate to have already established great partnerships with solid West Valley companies and candidates. Due to the strong team and culture that we have built, I believe that the future has never looked better for Corporate Job Bank.

 

Do you have core values at your company? If so, what are they and how do they impact your business operations?  

Our Core Values are comprised of six traits we believe have helped shape our company, brand, and culture. They guide our everyday dealings with our clients and employees.

The first number that comes to mind is that Corporate Job Bank is ranked the #1 locally owned staffing firm in Arizona – and we have been for 20 years! Our curated database consists of over 110,000 experienced applicants. Each week, we have approximately 2,000 temporary employees on our payroll. We have 2 conveniently located Valley offices. Our internal operation consists of 5 personable account managers, 17 talented recruiters (including direct hire), a supportive team of 2 managing our front desk, and a highly efficient payroll crew of 4.

If you could give your clients one piece of advice, what would you say?  

The main concern clients face is turnover, which is most likely one of their hesitations when they hear “staffing agency” or “temp”. After all, replacing employees is expensive and time-consuming. We want our services to be affordable and provide a return on investment for our clients, while simultaneously ensuring our candidates obtain the experience and income they seek.
