Overview

Markitors worked with a regional frozen yogurt franchise with 20+ locations on the east coast. Our engagement started with a full scale digital marketing audit of all SEO, PPC, Email and Social Media marketing efforts. Among the audit findings was an opportunity to improve Local SEO and drive more online and offline conversions with a limited marketing budget.

Challenge

As a tightly run franchise, marketing efforts were fairly centralized among all franchisees. Marketing efforts were mainly controlled in-house, leaving the door open to guide future marketing efforts. The challenge was in providing the internal team with specific direction to execute high converting marketing campaigns, as well as launching a hyper Local SEO campaign to raise visibility for multiple locations within the same city – often less than a mile away from each other

Solution

Markitors developed a Local SEO marketing blueprint for the internal marketing team that would help raise the visibility of all 20+ franchisees. The blueprint shared a step by step process on a hyper Local SEO search strategy that included NAP (name, address, phone number), local links, and technical SEO for the corporate website.

In addition, the Local SEO strategy called for the restructuring of landing pages with local keywords. Since many locations were in the same city, Markitors recommended combining these locations into one centralized city page to outrank other competitive fro-yo chains.

Result

The fro-yo franchise increased online visibility, and subsequently, foot traffic to several locations.

The franchise website now turns out more localized leads for franchisees, connecting fro-yo seekers with fro-yo. This foundation continues to help this franchise grow beyond it’s initial 20 locations.
