Meta title tags for SEO should be captivating to increase click-through rate. A best practice for meta titles is that they should be around 50 to 60 characters tops. It is about giving Google as well as users context as to what information a specific page contains and why it’s of value.

  • Use ALT text. Using ALT text is twofold. ALT text will be shown if for some reason your page cannot load the images and it helps the visually impaired understand what an image depicts.

In some cases, you will want to use no-index tags to prevent bots from indexing duplicate URL combinations. By placing a no-index tag on them, you are telling Google you don’t want them to be seen in search results. This saves crawl budget and ensures link equity isn’t wasted.

Faceted search is when there are different sorting or filtering options to narrow down a user’s search.
